2.5mile loop hike. Park and start along rt 20, head north.
Followed northbound Tunxis Trail blue blazes for about 1.2 miles. The wind was howling as it would on a mountain top. Not many views but loved the variation of roots/rocks/leaves/elevation/moss/stone – typical new england trail terrain.
Forgot my sneakers, so I picked up carhart socks and hiked in those. Acorns and mixed size rocks were the most painful to walk on. Moss covered rock was the softest, my favorite.
